Private Sector & Entrepreneurship

AN AFRICAPITALISM THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE

The private sector and entrepreneurs play a pivotal role in the creation of wealth and the economic resilience and prosperity of Africa. In certain countries, MSMEs and entrepreneurs contribute to over 90 percent of job opportunities. Their significance lies in driving innovation, generating income, offering employment, supplying essential goods, contributing to public revenues, and providing services that improve people’s lives and help alleviate poverty.

However, we firmly believe that fostering a robust, innovative, resilient, and wealth-generating private sector transcends mere employment and poverty reduction. It serves as the means to propel the prosperity of the African continent to its next phase, encompassing value chains, scaling up, and establishing industrial ecosystems.

Our efforts are dedicated to stimulating entrepreneurship, particularly growth entrepreneurship, through various programs involving vocational training, skills development, mentorship, resource provision, expertise, and support for business incubators.
